In a culture where care has been reduced to a specialized ministry, the responsibility for Christians caring powerfully for one another has been largely delegated to professionals. If we are to live in a community that reflects the powerful intimacy enjoyed among the Persons of the Godhead, we must hear again the biblical call to shepherding and recover the reality of powerful connection within the body of Christ.
